These are SEASONAL TERM position which are one-year initial appointments that may be extended up to four (4) years, in one-year increments.
Season is from 6 to 8 months. Employees who work a seasonal work schedule are placed in non-pay status or recalled to duty as workload or budget dictates and in accordance with their seasonal employment agreement.
TERM appointments can be terminated at any time.
Employees may be eligible for conversion to permanent career or career-conditional appointments via internal vacancy announcements if the following are applicable:

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level:
Performs a variety of administrative tasks using an automated system which involves: assigning, maintaining, monitoring, or updating work status and inventory records; ordering research; acknowledging correspondence; maintaining, updating and initiating personnel records; timekeeping; and performing other support activity.
Identifies and reviews Forms W-2 attached to Forms 1040EZ and 1040PC for conditions meeting Criminal Investigation criteria and code the returns appropriately.
Conducts searches and other follow-up action on delayed shipments where acknowledged transmittals are not received timely.
Transcribes and/or key verifies a wide variety of taxpayer prepared tax returns, related schedules, and/or documents.
This position has career progression. If you are selected at a grade level lower than the full working level, you may be non-competitively promoted as your career progresses. For example, you may be hired as a GS-05, but if the position has career progression to GS-11, then you may move from a GS-05 to a GS-11 in as little as three years.

This position requires that the successful candidate undergo personnel vetting, which includes a background investigation and enrollment upon onboarding into "Continuous Vetting." Qualifications
Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-timework is considered on a prorated basis. GENERAL EXPERIENCE GS-04: To qualify at this grade level you must have: One (1) year or twelve (12 months) of general experience.
